Impact Health Share
Impact Health Share
NEW! UVCA is pleased to announce that we are now a prime account holder for Impact, a not-for-profit, non-insurance alternative to the high cost of health insurance that allows those without pre-existing health conditions to save anywhere from 30% to 50% percent on the cost of individualized health care insurance.
Impact is NOT healthcare insurance. A health share member makes monthly contributions, or shares, to a large pool of funds that are then matched to meet medical expenses of any of the members after the member has met their Primary Responsibility Amount (PRA), similar to a health insurance deductible. The amount of the PRA varies depending on the type of program chosen. There is also an enrollment fee to join, but enrollment is open all year and Impact share members can go to any doctor of their choice.
As an Impact share member, you provide a card, similar to a health insurance card, to your healthcare provider at the time of service who either accepts the card as a health insurance type product or bills Impact directly.
Watch the videos here to learn more about how health shares work and call Impact directly with any questions you may have at (855) 378-6777.
There is no mandate to join Impact, but every new member that joins through UVCA has a portion of their fees redirected back to UVCA, benefiting the entire UVCA membership.
Impact also offers discounted WiFi, cellular phone services, and numerous other services.
PLEASE NOTE the following when signing up for an Impact Health Share Account:
- UVCA is the organization offering Impact on behalf of our account, but we are not health insurance or Impact agents. All queries about Impact will go through Impact agents.
- Please read all paperwork associated with having an account. You are agreeing to Impact's terms. UVCA does not play a role in individual applications.
- Upon applying for an Impact account, please notify the UVCA Help Desk at UVCAHelpdesk@virginiachiropractic.org so that UVCA can keep adequate records of how many UVCA members and associates are benefiting from Impact, and how much Impact must pay back to UVCA as a result.
